Australia has a comprehensive Aged Care program that provides funding for home care services through the Aged Care Packages program, which is designed to help older Australians remain living independently in their homes for as long as possible.
Under the Aged Care Packages program, eligible individuals receive a package of care services that can be tailored to their specific needs and preferences. These services may include assistance with daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and personal care, as well as more specialised services such as nursing care and allied health services.
There are four levels of Aged Care Packages available, ranging from Level 1 (basic care needs) to Level 4 (high-level care needs). The level of funding allocated to each package depends on the individual's care needs and the availability of funding in their region.
The Problem
Our Aged Care teams explained to us, that for their clients, knowing this program exists and understanding what is on offer, how to calculate the expenses and how to access the options is a whole other issue, some said it was like trying to read Braille.
The Solution
Working together with our branding partner BeYou, we came up with an online solution to allow people to design and build their own packages.
To create a personal, tailored package users answer a range of conditional questions through a 'wizard' which customises pre-set and highly customisable 'care packages' for them - showing pricing and service options.
The user can then choose to contact the care provider to discuss their further needs.
